Marcos Fink by Guillaume Bonnaud

Bass-baritone Marcos Fink was born in Argentina to a Slovenian family where singing was very present. After singing in choirs at an early age he began his vocal formation with Professor Victor Srugo and musical interpretation with professors Erik Werba, Wolfgang Schöne, Aldo Baldin and Heather Harper. He made his opera debut at the Salzburger Landestheater where he sang the major Mozart roles including Figaro, Leporello, and Don Alfonso.

Since then Marcos Fink has performed in concert halls and opera houses around the world – Basel, Frankfurt, Paris, Bordeaux, Berlin, Vienna, Lisbon, Barcelona, Ljubljana, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, Aix-en-Provence, Amsterdam – with well known orchestras (Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Freiburger Barockorchester, Münchner Philharmoniker, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande) and under renowned conductors such as Michel Corboz, René Jacobs, Hans Graf, and Leopold Hager. Marcos Fink is also an enthusiastic interpreter of lieder. He has participated in numerous CD recordings ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. With his sister the mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink he has recorded Canciones argentinas and a forthcoming recital of Slovenian songs for harmonia mundi.
